Responsibilities

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is the executive strategist responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of the organization's marketing and communications strategic initiatives. This leadership position is responsible for the development and deployment of all related marketing, communications, advertising and PR activities for Prime Healthcare. This position oversees a Corporate staff responsible for marketing and business development for key service lines and programs, PR and media relations, crisis communications, digital marketing, internal communications, executive communications, community relations, Prime Healthcare Foundation activities, website development and social media strategy. Working closely with Prime Executive Leadership, this position serves as the primary spokesperson for Prime Healthcare. Hospital Marketing and Business Development teams have a dotted line to this leadership role.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Communications or related field. Master’s degree a plus.2. 10+ years of effective executive marketing communications success in a healthcare delivery setting; 10+ years’ leading a marketing and communications function at the c-suite level.3. A successful track record of effectively communicating with senior level executives, board members, physician leaders, elected officials, and key community stakeholders.4. Knowledge of marketing practices and research; business development knowledge a plus. 5. Highly developed organizational, communication, planning and leadership skills6. Excellent writing skills7. Excellent coaching and mentoring skills to ensure an effective Corporate and hospital marketing communications team.

Preferred qualifications:

1 Experience working in a large, complex (matrixed) national health system. 2 Connections (or experience working with) with national news media

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $175,000.00 to $250,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
