Responsibilities

Our Student Nurse Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. They will be under the supervision of a registered nurse and the student extern will assist the nurse with patient care activities in a variety of departments throughout the hospital.

To be a Student Nurse Extern in one of our Facilities you most of completed the following:

• Successfully complete the first semester of a nursing program and be enrolled in a program currently in good standing.
• Must have a current BLS through American Heart Association
• Must be a High School Graduate/ GED

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Successfully completed the first semester of a nursing program

2. Must be in good and academic standing

3. Current Basic Life Support Certification

4. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
