Responsibilities
We are seeking a Med/Tele RN, internally referred to as our Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse at St John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare. A dedicated nurse specializing in attending to patients within medical-surgical units, especially those needing cardiac monitoring. Our Telemetry Nurse is instrumental in overseeing the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals needing cardiac surveillance during their hospitalization.
Bonus Options: up to $20,000 (experience may be required)

Hours: 12hr Shifts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans
- monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms
- communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology
- administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support
- educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modifications
- respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possible
- maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patients' conditions, treatments, and responses to interventions
- follow established protocols and policies established by your department, Human Resources or any department in which guidelines must be met
- other duties and responsibilities maybe assigned depending on department need and growth
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator Management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
