Responsibilities

This program was implemented to help Newly graduated Licensed Practical Nurse to help learn critical skills that will be helpful in the transition from School to Real world Experience.   This program provides the New Grad Licensed Practical Nurse the following Opportunities:

  • A 10-to-12-week orientation with a Preceptor and Nurse Educator that guides the nurse through important skills of their desired Unit.
  • They get the chance to hon in on the critical skills any Licensed Practical Nurse needs to be successful
  • Once the 10-to-12-week program is completed the nurse will have a two-year commitment to the department in which they were hired.
