Responsibilities
Assisting the Department Director in the day-to-day operations of the unit, the Critical Care Charge Nurse is accountable and responsible for the quality of staff and services provided during their shift. She/He oversees, supervises, and evaluates staff members, making sure that time, equipment, and resources are used appropriately. She/He also ensures that the department operates efficiently. provides direct patient care only, when necessary, within the parameters of her profession. They continuously evaluate patient care and instruct staff to make necessary adjustments to the plan of care. Effectively communicates with physicians and staff to ensure favorable patient outcomes.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.4. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred. 5. PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
