We are currently looking for talented Licensed Practical Nurses to join our care team! We currently have the following opportunities available on our Long-Term Care Unit:
Day Shift (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM):
24 hours per 2-week pay period
80 hours per 2-week pay period
Evening Shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM):
56 hours per 2-week pay period
72 hours per 2-week pay period
Night Shift (10:45 PM - 7:15 AM):
40 hours per 2-week pay period
80 hours per 2-week pay period
Per Diem (Variable Shifts)
We offer the following differentials on top of the hourly rate of pay:
- Evening $3 per hour
- Night $5 per hour
- Weekend $2 per hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials)
A sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 is available for LPN positions!
Subject to applicable taxes, the bonus is paid in three installments: 1st after 90 days, 2nd after one year, and 3rd after two years. Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years with Porter Medical Center. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
Positions that are 30+ hours per week are eligible for full benefits including but not limited to: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 403(b), Life and Disability Insurances, and Paid Time-off.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
- Must possess a high aptitude for learning, strong customer service skills, and teamwork skills.
Experience:
Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be empathetic and compassionate. Must be reliable and able to work well as a member of a team. Strong communication skills are needed along with the ability to follow through. Must have basic computer skills. Must possess a high aptitude for learning and patient care, and strong customer service skills.
