Regional Sales Manager:

  • Compensation: Straight salary; monthly auto and mileage reimbursement, $65k+
  • Daily travel required for field coverage, corporate meetings and trade shows (including out-of-state travel and some overnights to allow for proper coverage of region)
  • Meetings and business demands especially during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours
  • Candidates must live within the Mountain & Midwest regions, including the states of CO, IL, NE, IA, KS or MN

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading the effective execution of Pet Food Experts’ Sales strategies, Retailer Development, and standard operating procedures to deliver company sales objectives within an assigned geography.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, direct, coach, motivate, guide the efforts and development of the Sales Team in order to achieve Company sales objectives, maximize market share, and improve Team performance.
  • Prioritize and develop relationships and business plans with key Retailers in the Region.
  • Execute Region business plans and sales programs driven by Vendor Development strategies.
  • Demonstrate the Pet Food Experts’ culture and standards, implement Company initiatives and programs, foster commitment to the Company’s products, and develop champions/company supporters within territory.
  • Lead activities with the Sales Team to ensure maximum sales results through execution of Sales plan.
  • Enable Sales Team to deliver Company objectives through Customer prioritization, call planning, call routing, and resource utilization within the Region.
  • Collaborate and provide leadership on Team conference calls and Quarterly Sales Meetings with HQ.
  • Coach Team by sharing information, ideas, selling techniques, business opportunities and best practices through data utilization, including Tableau.

Additional Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree BA or BS (preferably in business or life sciences); MBA or advanced business related courses, preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of Sales and or Business to Business Sales experience with demonstrated mastery of the job accountabilities. Minimum 3 years management experience leading a Team.
