We are looking for a Cylinder Maintenance Technician to join our team!

As the Cylinder Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing annual and 6-year fire extinguisher inspections & recharges as well as hydrotesting of fire extinguishers and other compressed gas cylinders for compliance with applicable local, state, federal and customer requirements.

Hourly pay ranges from $18-22/hour depending on applicable skills and experience.

In this role you will:

  • Perform Annual and 6-year inspections on fire extinguisher
  • Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations
  • Operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized work area including keeping parts and supplies necessary to perform the job stocked
  • Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job
  • Responsible to keep current with all local, state, federal, DOT and EPA regulations
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following OSHA and company safety programs
  • Inspect and scrap defective cylinders

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Gas industry and cylinder maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and varying climate/temperature conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Able to constantly lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds unassisted
  • Occasionally move/lift (with assistance or lifting device) 76-110 pounds
  • Able to constantly lift and carry items such as toolboxes, tools, equipment, cylinders, and parts
  • Ability to constantly push or pull up to 25 -75 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and stretching
