We are looking for a Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team! Hourly pay ranges from $40-60/hr. depending on applicable skills and years of experience. Flexible shift options of 4 tens or 5 eights work weeks.

The Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. The Fire Alarm Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with customers, and other technicians to provide exceptional service.

In this role you will:

  • Perform regular service, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems according to industry regulations, NFPA & NEC code requirements and manufacturer specifications.

  • Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including control panels, programming, detectors, relays, notification devices, and wiring.

  • Identify and replace faulty components, including sensors, batteries, and wiring, to ensure reliable system operation.

  • Respond to service calls and emergency requests promptly, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

  • Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed on fire alarm systems.

  • Collaborate with clients to provide information on system operation, maintenance schedules, and potential upgrades.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to fire alarm systems.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of proven experience as a fire alarm service technician or similar role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems is a plus.

  • Relevant certification(s) such as NICET or manufacturer-specific programming & installation certifications preferred.

  • Strong understanding of fire alarm system components, wiring, and operation.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Valid state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
