Job Description
The role of Wealth Management Business Development Director will support the overall growth of 1847Financial by recruiting Financial Professionals to affiliate directly with 1847Financial to include HTK and Penn Mutual. 1847Financial offers many affiliation models which will allow the Wealth Management Business Development Director to consult with Financial Professionals that are seeking to find the right broker/dealer and/or life insurance company to successfully grow and provide comprehensive support to their wealth management practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of recruiting Financial Professionals, a well versed background in wealth management (broker-dealer, RIA services), a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to help Financial Professionals grow their practices after affiliating with 1847Financial and our firms.
Compensation for this role will be a mix of base salary, and a bonus plan based on recruiting results and overrides after a financial professional successfully transfers their book of business depending on their affiliation channel.
- Tells the 1847Financial story and communicates the 1847Financial value proposition to prospective Financial Professionals and in the marketplace
- Recruits qualified Financial Professionals to join 1847Financial by developing new leads obtained through multiple sources
- Contacts prospective Financial Professionals and communicates the many benefits, both tangible and intangible, of affiliating with 1847Financial and our firms
- Applies a forward-thinking approach to developing new ways to recruit Financial Professionals
- Qualifies potential prospects to affiliate with all our channels
- Develops and maintains relationships with qualified prospects by ensuring that the 1847Financial value proposition is top of mind when the Financial Professional is considering a new firm
- Works with current 1847Financial registered Financial Professionals as they add Financial Professionals to their practices and assess their fit with 1847Financial and our firms
- Develops a comprehensive prospecting system including conducting cold calls, build relationships with prospects and our firms, and utilize consultative sales skills to recruit new Financial Professionals to 1847Financial
- Prepares and delivers formal and informal business presentations to qualified prospective Financial Professionals highlighting 1847Finacial’s platform, products, technology, and service
- Develops relationships with product sponsors, wholesalers, and other business contacts as a source of new lead generation
- Establishes individual recruitment goals in conjunction with 1847Financial senior leadership and our firms
- Develop relationships and maintain strong partnership with the Transition team
- Determines appropriate strategies and sales plan to ensure attainment of goals
- Keeps current regarding industry trends and developments
- Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements

Required Skills
Strong understanding of the financial services industry and field distribution systems
- Thorough knowledge of insurance, broker/dealer, & RIA products and operations
- Business acumen including financial, operational, marketing, and financial services compliance
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create a viable sales pipeline
- Ability to influence high-level decision makers
- Exemplary relationship building skills with prospective Financial Professionals and across the organization
- Persuasive and compelling presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong focus on customer service
- Ability to manage long range projects and maintain focus on developing and following through on sales pipeline

- Ability to prioritize goals and needs of representative and coordination of various teams within 1847Financial, our firms as well as our downstream partners

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn and demonstrate proprietary systems
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time, nationally

Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience recruiting in the financial services industry with a proven track record of success recruiting independent Financial Professionals
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- CFP, CIMA or other industry designations -Preferred
- FINRA Series 7, 24, and 65 /66 Preferred
- Life/Health insurance license Preferred

$120,000 base salary plus variable compensation plan and annual bonus plan
