Position Description:

The Organ Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for the administrative oversight of the Organ Procurement Transplant Coordinators and Referral Process Coordinators as well as the referral and donation process. This position requires an advanced level of expertise and overall understanding of the organ and tissue donation and transplantation process. Responsibilities include effective referral management and monitoring the management of all potential donors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supports the organization’s Mission, Vision, Values and Initiatives.
2. Monitors all aspects of the referral and donation process and provides direction for new/pending referrals and active donor cases
3. Provides regional accountability for donation development, referral response, and the referral and donor management process.
4. Provides support and guidance for on-site staff.
5. Monitors the implementation of the Donor Management on all organ donor cases and facilitates consultations with Medical Director or designee, intensivist, and AOC
6. Participates in rotation of Organ Team Lead (OTL) call (approximately 4-5 days a month). Orients and mentors newly assigned staff in the role of Organ Team Lead
7. Reviews donor activity routinely with the Procurement Manager.
8. Periodic on-site visits to evaluate clinical processes and observe RPC and PTC performance in the field are required.
9. Actively participates in monthly regional donation development quarterback meetings and hospital after action reviews to enhance referral management.
10. Actively participates in assigned organ committee.
11. Participates in donor process strategy meetings and case reviews with Intensivists.
12. Works collaboratively with the Procurement Manager to perform PTC and RPC yearly evaluations.
13. Works collaboratively with supervisors/leaders of other departments.
14. Represents OneLegacy at local, regional and national meetings.
15. Required attendance at staff meetings. Required attendance at training programs and/or in-services as deemed necessary by the immediate manager, Director, or CEO.
16. Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy Policies and Procedures, and the mission, vision and values of the organization.
17. Performs other duties as assigned by Organ Procurement Leadership.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:
Location: All OneLegacy facilities are non-smoking.
Travel: The Organ Procurement Supervisor may be required to travel by personal auto or rental car to meet the duties and responsibilities of the position. Company reimbursement for personal auto use while on the job is consistent with IRS guidelines.
Work Hours: Exempt employees shall be paid an established salary on a bi-weekly basis and are expected to fulfill the duties of their position regardless of hours worked. The workweek for full-time exempt employees is normally considered to be 40 hours; however, greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to the position than on working a specified number of hours. Exempt employees are not eligible to receive overtime compensation. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required.
The Organ Procurement Supervisor periodically is required to assume 24-hour responsibility in rotation with other department staff.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of Nursing/Respiratory Therapy program required or 3 years of similar OPO experience.
Four year degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years of organ procurement experience preferred as a PTC.
Minimum of 3 years critical care experience, or at least one year of management or supervisory experienced preferred.
Certification/License: Certification of Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) required within 6 months. OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. Equipment: Reliable automotive transportation is required.

Pay Range:

$115,223.50 - $138,947
