Locally we have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Plant in Grand Prairie TX. Note, we are looking for someone with experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Fluidics, Hydraulics, etc. This is not for a vehicle or HVAC mechanic type of work.
The position is for day shift.
Job Description Duties and Responsibilities-Machine Maintenance Mechanic
> Work involves the assignment to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid repairs and new construction operations requiring involvement with equipment and other plant layout changes.
> Make layout and fabrication drawings for replacement of shafts, spare parts, brackets, and other additions for plant equipment.
> Work from drawings, sketches, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work requests, and oral instructions.
> Perform diversified and somewhat difficult work including analytical trouble shooting and complex maintenance functions.
> Use a variety of precision instruments and considerable judgement in working effectively and efficiently in diagnosing, dismantling, repairing, lubricating and reassembling units.
> Using skills to work on general and technical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, and general machining for items requiring a close tolerance.
> Rebuild and maintain primary roll forming, forming and ancillary equipment throughout the plant.
> Periodically inspect conditions of the plant operating machines and equipment for preventative maintenance purposes.
> Detect Faulty Operations and diagnose malfunctions and provide appropriate remedies.
> Maintain specific records of work performed, details of repairs and material usage.
Education and Experience
> High School Diploma or GED
> 3-5 years of machining experience.
> Prior experience and ability to fabricate, repair, replace or properly install:
* Forming or guide rolls
* Shafts, bushings, sprockets and chains
* Guarding and related safety devices
* Power transmission components.
> Ability to use various measuring equipment and devices
> Ability to work with and be able to interpret blue prints, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
