Job Summary for Forklift Driver

This position assists in maintaining accurate and sufficient product inventory levels and organization. Routine tasks include: loading and unloading paintline and slitter. Loading truck for deliveries, offloading paint and any other rolls that come in. Keep log of materials being ran on the paintline and slitter scrap. Emptying out trash cans.    

Forklift Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inputs information on Excel and print out tags and labeling painted coils.
• Brings paint drums to paintline area.
• Brings Gardoclean and Gardobond to area.
• Prepares coils for next run and loads them onto the arbor.
• Removes painted coils off arbor and weighs and tags it.
• Assist with cutting prep coils.
• Assist with stitching coils together.
• Loads painted coils onto arbor.
• Prepares coils for next run.
• Unloads coils from arbor.
• Preps coils for shipping by fixing pallet, covering roll with plastic, strapping roll down to pallet.
• Weighs and takes scrap to Scrap bin.
• Takes broken pallets to next building.
• Prepares pallets for future coils.
• Follows all safety guidelines for forklift drivers and company rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Physical inventory experience
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft, Excel
• Experience and skilled in Oracle system is preferred
• Extremely accurate data entry
• Ability to operate sit down forklift
