Title: Medical Director

Deparmtent: Content Development

Location: New Hope, PA 

The Medical Director has oversight responsibility for the entirety of the scientific content development process for assigned brands. The successful candidate works cohesively with our entire BioPharm team and is responsible for managing the day-to-day development of promotional medical education content for our clients. Additionally, as a client-focused member of the team, this candidate will represent BioPharm from a content strategy perspective on assigned client status calls, KOL interviews, and during the legal/medical/regulatory (LMR) review process where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leadership of content development for the assigned brands, including strategy conversations from kick-off through launch of marketing assets
  • Proactive engagement with clients through course of asset development, ensuring content strategy is aligned to overall brand and program goals
  • Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of all dedicated brands and therapeutic areas
  • Act as the medical liaison between the Agency and key opinion leaders
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams
  • Drives alignment to department processes and procedures
  • Ensures a hyper focus on quality of scientific content and team output
  • Ensures alignment to BioPharm’s core operating philosophies

 

Key Requirements

  • D-degree in the life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD)
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a medical content or medical affairs professional working with promotional material for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or device products
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients and thought leaders/experts in a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Familiarity with legal, medical, and regulatory review processes
  • An in-depth understanding of the bio-pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong medical or scientific writing experience; promotional medical education a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong listening and analytical skills
  • Strong editing skills and attention to detail; familiarity with AMA Style a plus
  • Proficient with Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint® and Adobe Acrobat®
  • Superior time management skills to work effectively within demanding timelines
  • A successful record of handling multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $101,500- $147,000
