POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform assembly, onshore testing and offshore installation of standard Oil States Industries products in a safe and productive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise onshore and offshore operations with at least 90% of Oil States Industries products.
  • Assemble products from drawings and bills of materials.
  • Carry out assembly of products using hand tools, impact wrenches, hydraulic equipment, cranes, forklifts, following a set pattern.
  • Testing of assembled equipment to ensure quality and customer specifications.
  • Complete detailed inspection of products and installation equipment prior to mobilization.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mobilize and de-mobilize all tooling and equipment used to install OSI products per procedures.
  • Instruct junior technicians on proper installation methods and procedures of OSI products.
  • Preparing parts, reading drawings and procedures.
  • Maintenance of equipment to ensure correct operation
  • Maintain a safe and clean working area.
  • Assist Service Manager and OSI Engineering with corrective feedback for equipment operational design and procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of previous related work experience in same or similar industry
  • Acceptable high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic experience
  • Prior rigging experience.
  • Ability to follow detailed and complex instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic measurement computations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate equipment (crane, forklifts, hand tools, etc.).
  • Must possess or have the ability to possess a valid US passport or some other documentation allowing for international travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Capable of carrying out transfers to offshore but either : boat — Helicopter — Crane + Basket transfer
  • Regular pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and kneeling.
  • Able to travel offshore and to foreign countries
  • Able to perform installation of products in hazardous environments, including offshore rigs.
  • Ability to work in elevated work areas with proper PPE.
