Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Manufacturing Coordinator II. This person will coordinate with sales, engineering, purchasing and vendors to ensure the most efficient manufacturing processes and material flow for customer products. Must have ability to schedule and route products through manufacturing environment. The position requires daily backlog maintenance and reporting status of sales orders to sales, engineering and manufacturing departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate project requirements; determine the schedule and routing, which will complete the project within the required time to prevent loss of time and quality thereby achieving the customer delivery.
  • Create routers to complete tasks at work centers and assign quality inspection points are required per engineering drawings / code specifications.
  • Assist in the design development for the conceptual design stage and develop more efficient manufacturing processes for customer products.
  • Forecast tooling and supplies needed to manufacture, assemble, and/or test.
  • Place orders through purchasing to procure necessary equipment.
  • Interface with customer or customer representative, inspectors, manufacturing and engineering.
  • Review purchase requisitions / materials reports from engineering to coordinate with purchasing the required material due dates for jobs.
  • Review all project documents for their accuracy before manufacture.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review all sales, engineering, manufacturing, and related documents to assure all requirements are properly addressed for completion of final product.
  • Review quotes from sales and estimate labor hour requirements for evaluations.
  • Monitor costs applied to jobs from shop hours, materials and erroneous charges applied towards job.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years experience with fabrication / machining jobs for technical projects within industrial environment.
  • Must have ERP/MRP experience for position
  • Must have knowledge / experience with ASME, AWS D1.1, API codes
  • Must have experience with FCAW, SAW, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and cladding processes.
  • Must have experience with VTL, Horizontal Mills, and CNC applications.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills with basic computer literacy and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings for fabrication, machining, coatings and and NDE requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent walking, stair climbing, squatting, bending, pushing / pulling and occasional sitting.
