POSITION SUMMARY:

Interns are responsible for learning the systems that OSI uses to satisfy customer requirements in hopes that upon graduation or shortly thereafter they will join OSI on a full-time basis. In doing so, their learning curve, if they become a full-time employee, will be minimized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Study/analyze the different concepts used in Project Management and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Assist in project specific requests.
  • Assist in preparing areas of facilities for improvements.
  • Assist in preparing project end documentation.
  • Study OSI equipment/processes for future improvement concepts.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist other department employees as may be needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A recent graduate with an Associates or Bachelors or equivalent accredited engineering degree OR an upper-level classman working towards an Associates or Bachelors or equivalent accredited engineering degree.
  • Entry level position. Previous internships preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of structural and mechanical design concepts.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Some lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
