POSITION SUMMARY:
Interns are responsible for learning the systems that OSI uses to satisfy customer requirements in hopes that upon graduation or shortly thereafter they will join OSI on a full-time basis. In doing so, their learning curve, if they become a full-time employee, will be minimized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Study/analyze the different concepts used in Project Management and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Assist in project specific requests.
- Assist in preparing areas of facilities for improvements.
- Assist in preparing project end documentation.
- Study OSI equipment/processes for future improvement concepts.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other department employees as may be needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A recent graduate with an Associates or Bachelors or equivalent accredited engineering degree OR an upper-level classman working towards an Associates or Bachelors or equivalent accredited engineering degree.
- Entry level position. Previous internships preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer and software, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of structural and mechanical design concepts.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged sitting.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Some lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
