Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Sr Maintenance Tech in Houma, Louisiana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • to bring together the necessary parts and labor to repair and/or rebuild any and all machine tools, service vehicles, equipment and machinery with troublesome components and attachments including bearings, spindles, shafts, feeding and controlling mechanisms, hand and power tools, etc.; making the repairs happen in a manner to minimize downtime.
  • requesting and expediting parts and any required schematics, manuals, or diagrams to diagnose problems and effect repairs.
  • Schedule routine inspections and maintenance of facility, machinery, vehicles, cranes and other equipment.
  • Co-ordination of facility maintenance and repair to include, but not limited to, electrical, HVAC, painting, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, welding, and general maintenance work by both OSI maintenance technicians and outside vendor technicians.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in producing the annual maintenance schedule.
  • Co-ordinate the installation of new equipment.
  • Assist in creating maintenance files in the computer and process appropriate paperwork for the maintenance files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Generally, a minimum of five years prior experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, welding, and general maintenance work.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical charts.
  • Basic mathematical and measurement computations applicable to the craft.
  • Good verbal communicator and possess good reading skills.
  • Ability to follow simple and complex instructions.
  • Must be willing and capable of speaking to groups.
  • Supervisory training concerning discipline, team organization, and effective leadership a plus.
  • Must possess a good work ethic and set an example for the maintenance employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pulling/pushing, bending, standing, throwing, kneeling, balancing, carrying, sitting, walking, crawling, crouching, reaching, climbing, unnatural body positioning, and working in a confined space.
  • Lifting requirement of 45 lbs.
  • Non-climate-controlled environment.
