Joining Oakwood Village as an intern will give you insight into the operations of a high-end senior living community and the diverse management responsibilities.
- Understanding assisted living community standards and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring a positive experience for residents, families, and staff
- Enhancing customer service and communication skills
- Developing leadership and community management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks include recruiting, onboarding, data entry, managing evaluations, generating reports, uploading paperwork, and organizing files.
- Resident, family, guest and vendor management and communication
- Audit resident and Staff files and binders to ensure compliance.
- Creating Community Newsletters
- Coaching and managing employees.
- Occasional assistance with Activities of daily living, assisting with hands on care on the unit.
Qualifications:
- This internship is open to current Undergraduate or Graduate students.
- Studying Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Human services, or related field preferred.
- Already have or willing to obtain CBRF Certifications
- Passion for working with seniors.
Timeline: This internship will last from 8-12 weeks, depending on the availability of intern. There is a possibility that the internship could continue into the fall on a part-time basis, depending on availability of the intern
