As a Buyer, you will assist in sourcing and procuring quality goods at reasonable prices. You will ensure timely product delivery to support sales team and maintain inventory accuracy. This role is a tremendous opportunity to build your career in Supply Chain in a global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Placing purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Negotiating prices, terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Assisting in the development of annual purchasing plans and budgets.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and effectively resolving any issues that arise.
  • Request quotes from vendors and place PO to receive materials when needed at the lowest cost.
  • Work with Accounting and Quality Assurance to resolve invoicing receiving and quality issues as they arise.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Implement the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing and purchasing materials in manufacturing environment or a related field.
  • Be knowledgeable in stock replenishment routines.
  • Have a keen attention to detail and ability to analyze purchasing data.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other purchasing software
  • Have solid communication skills.
