Job Description

What you will do:

NSI Field Service Technicians conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial x-ray inspection equipment. 

  • Travel to customer site to diagnose and repair industrial test equipment; including but not limited to high voltage generators, electrical panels, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Personal Computer (PC), control software and automation components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations as well as emergency service.
  • Ensure that all customer concerns are addressed, and the appropriate follow-up is taken.
  • Much of the work will be completed at customer site with up to 70% travel required.
  • Provide customers with timely updates regarding ETA onsite,
  • Assist manufacturing with system integration and installation.
  • Work with the Service Coordinator on scheduling, parts orders/returns etc.
  • Assist customers over the phone with technical problems and troubleshooting.
  • Train customers on basic operation and maintenance where applicable
  • Assist customers over the phone with technical problems and troubleshooting
  • Be on call occasionally for phone support.
  • Assist in system moves and/or system qualifications where needed.

Qualifications

Successful applicants have a demonstrated ability to

  • Read, comprehend and interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics
  • Interpret schematic and electrical diagrams
  • Use electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multi-meter
  • Communicate effectively in a professional environment
  • Resolve technical issues in a highly sensitive environment
  • Work with multiple levels of an organization

This role requires a high level of autonomy, as well as superior organizational, time management and customer service skills. Qualified candidates will have had some specialized training in a technical field, preferably an Associates degree, and over 3 years of experience in field service.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Passing results on both pre-employment drug and background checks (which includes driving record) are required.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • A good driving record is necessary.
  • Must be able to provide proof that you are legally able to work in the United States.
