Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Higher Ed Administration, Human Services, or related field.
One (1) – Three (3) years of experience in student development or related area of higher education.
One (1) – Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Position Description
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services/Registrar, this position provides oversight and direction for advising, accessibility services, student support, and engagement for curriculum students.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accessibility Services Coordinator/Counselor and Outreach & Engagement Coordinator
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- NCCCS policies and procedures related to admissions and enrollment
- College policies and procedures
- State and federal policies and requirements for ADA compliance
- Best practices for advising, retention, and student success
- Statistical methods as applied to the work of this position
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
ABILITY TO:
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in a variety of settings, with people from diverse backgrounds, educational levels, and age groups.
- Operate a PC, mobile devices, and related software. Use Microsoft Office (word processing, database, presentation, spreadsheets) and relevant applications or internet-based platforms.
- Synthesize information and demonstrate analytical skills in reaching sound conclusions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, administrators, coworkers, and the public.
- Prioritize and complete projects and tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supervises the Accessibility Services Coordinator/Counselor and the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator, which includes planning and goal setting, accountability, and evaluation.
- Establishes effective onboarding and advising practices to promote student success.
- Manages student support functions and processes for Wolf Tracks (Aviso) early alert system.
- Develops and maintains the Advising Manual to facilitate consistent advising practices.
- Conducts advisor training for counselors, coordinators, and faculty advisors.
- Coordinates the development and delivery of new Student Orientation.
- Works collaboratively to develop and update content for ACA 111 and ACA 122.
- Supports the coordination and delivery of accessibility services and ADA accommodations.
- Evaluates transfer credit as needed.
- Assists with registration of special credit students.
- Reviews and approves forms, templates, and general correspondence related to areas of supervision.
- Leads the delivery of student support programs, services, and resources, including the Food Pantry, Student Government Association, career services, and other engagement activities.
- Collaborates with other units of the college to develop and implement strategic enrollment growth strategies.
- Utilizes institutional data to support effective practices in each area of responsibility.
- Provides guidance for the administration of cost centers, and facilitates budget projections based on current and historical data.
- Serves on institutional committees as appointed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
