Position Description

DESCRIPTION:
The Instructor will be responsible for teaching Human Service courses during the day and night (face-to-face) and online. Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner. Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance. Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour. Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment. Grades and returns students work in a timely manner. Counsel’s students regarding their grades and progress in the course. Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course. Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction. Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching. Actively recruit 1-2 students into the HST program each semester. Advise students within Human Service Technology Program. Fall, Spring and Summer schedule planning.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Community College teaching experience and delivering instruction using Moodle (Learning Management System) are preferred.
SKILLS:
Major duties include teaching, advising students, recruiting, program planning, preparing lesson plans and lectures, writing course overviews and outlines, preparing tests, class projects; maintain high academic standards, participates in on going professional development, and campus activities as required.
