Position:  Centralized Order Entry Specialist - RN 

Position Highlights:
Discharge orders are provided to the COE team for a patient admitting to an NHC center for post-acute care. COE technicians are responsible for entering these orders into MatrixCare. COE nurses are responsible for review of accuracy of orders entered, verification, and activation in the MatrixCare system. Focus is on safety for the patient by decreasing the potential for errors.
NOTE: Due to the unpredictable nature of center admissions, this position will be cross trained as an MDS coordinator to assist regional nurses with MDS audits and/or MDS completions as needed on occasion.

Qualifications:
• RN – graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice nursing in this state
• Professional experience in the areas of nursing to include pharmaceutical and supervisor skills
• Computer skills including order entry
• Attention to detail and patient safety
• Utilizes the nursing process for problem-solving skills in accordance with medication safety
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to achieve CMAC certification for MDS coordinator functions
