Position: Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Pay: $90,000 - $105,000 Yearly Depending on experience
This position exists to skillfully develop and direct regional sales territory plans and supervise Caris Representatives. Also to grow market share of the assigned branch offices and represent hospice in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Assures that the hospice meets and exceeds annual budgeted census plan. Assists Caris Representatives in their markets to achieve census targets by coaching, direct sales/marketing in field.
- Ensures referral/admission process is completed within Caris HealthCare’s customer service standard.
- Recruits, hires, and directs the training of Caris Representatives.
- Assures each newly hired Caris Representative has effective and sufficient learning to successfully complete the Training Program.
- Effectively utilizes CRM to supervise Caris Representative.
- Conducts weekly census watch teleconferences, Sales Supervisory Meetings; participates in monthly sales/financial/operations review calls; and visits each office every month.
- Administers disciplinary employee counseling, and if necessary, termination of Caris Representatives according to company policy.
- Negotiates new service contracts within company guidelines to allow for continued growth. Manages all contracts related to hospitals and SNF/NF.
- Maintains key relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other health care organizations and referral sources. Manages the implementation phase of contracts to assure that educational in-services, discharge planning and case review functions are understood and agreed upon by contracting institutions and implemented with positive results to the hospice, in accordance with applicable state and federal law.
- Expeditiously handles staff, physicians, patient, inter-departmental complaints, and problems, providing accurate and timely follow-up.
- Completes systematic collection, review, and evaluation of data pertaining to hospice market share. Researches and prepares business plans to allow for greater penetration of market share throughout assigned territory.
- Responsible for monitoring Referral Sources satisfaction surveys to identify trends and resolve problem areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree in clinical or business- related field preferred.
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to manage the sales and marketing functions & operations of the hospice.
- Demonstrated ability in healthcare sales.
- Experience in personnel management.
