Job Details

Position: Full-Time Cook/Driver

Location: Westborough, MA

Schedule: Monday through Friday - some Weekends are possible!

Hours: 11:00AM - 7:00PM

Hourly Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience - Let’s talk!

The Cook/Driver candidate will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for preparing and delivering daily meals for our customers! The Cook/Driver candidate must have strong cooking experience and be able to make food from scratch. In addition, the Cook/Driver must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be focused on excellent customer service!

Essential Functions

Cook

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and other equipment.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, rotating stock and following food company labeling & dating procedures.
  • Monitor, cook and prepare foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or utilization of food thermometers.
  • Responsible for preparation of stations, as directed, according to company guidelines.
  • May assist in supporting culinary staff at numerous stations as directed.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding kitchen equipment/supply needs.
  • Adhere to and promote company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, uniform guidelines, and productivity.

Driver

  • Operate company vehicle (van, truck, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload product from designated location into company vehicle for delivery.
  • Maintain positive customer and client relations at all times.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for billing and maintain internal and external customer invoices.
  • May include filling gas task & coordinating preventative maintenance for vehicle.
  • Adhere to delivery schedule as assigned to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Comply with all state and federal traffic rules & regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Cook/Driver Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good Driving Record
  • Organizational Skills

Must be able to pass a Background Check to work in this location.


Pay Frequency:

  • Weekly - Direct Deposit
