Due to an upcoming retirement, small municipality with population of 13K, approximately 5,000 line items and $81mm tax levy seeks PT tax collector with the possibility of FT if willing to take on additional finance-related duties Responsible for complying with state law and municipal directives in the collection of property taxes including proper calculation, preparation and mailing of tax bills, the receipt and detailed accounting of all monies and/or checks received and timely and accurate accounting and reporting of the activities of the office. Must have proficiency in Edmunds and possess a current, valid Certified Municipal Tax Collector's Certificate issued by NJDCA. Great medical, dental, vision, pension plan for FT person willing to take on other finance-related duties, such as sewer utility billing and PILOT billing.
