The Borough of Chester is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Part-Time Recreation Director to join our team. This position plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life in our community by planning and managing recreational activities and events for residents of all ages.  Position Summary: The Recreation Director reports directly to the Administrator and is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and supervising a wide variety of recreational programs and community events. This individual will work collaboratively with residents, program participants, and staff—including the Field House and DPW Directors—to ensure the success of all recreational offerings. Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop, coordinate, and oversee recreational programs, activities, and events. Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to enhance programming.  Manage program logistics including scheduling, staffing, and promotion.  Maintain and update the recreation section of the town’s website. Utilize social media platforms to promote events and engage the community.  Attend and oversee evening and weekend events as required. Monitor program effectiveness and community satisfaction, making adjustments as needed. Qualifications: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with website management and social media platforms. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.  Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Experience in recreation management, event planning, or a related field is a plus. Schedule & Compensation: Part-time position; hours will vary depending on seasonal programming and events.
