Seeking individual with ability to enforce regulations and ordinances pertaining to fire prevention; inspect commercial, industrial, institutional and other buildings and dwellings for fire hazards and compliance with Uniform Fire Code. Must have ability to interpret fire prevention laws and regulations, instruct employees in use of fire extinguishers and related equipment as well as compile detailed reports. This is a Part-time 20-hour per week position and candidate will be subject to call out on nights and weekends for investigations of structure fires, fire alarms sprinkler problems and other associated complaints. Possession of a valid NJ driver’s license and valid NJ Fire Inspector license required. Online certifications are not acceptable. A minimum of one year of experience in fire prevention is preferred. Pay $30/hour.
