The Borough of Chester is looking for a full-time highly organized individual who can assist the public and has exceptional multitasking capabilities. Diversified duties include but not limited to the following: Liaison to the Board of Health and Health Department of Bernard’s Township. Processing applications and results involving food licensing, septic’s, wells, and dog licensing. Responsible for coordination, scheduling, and attending monthly Board of Health meetings after business hours and generating minutes. Primary responsibilities for finance assistant will include tax billing and collection, payroll processing, and check processing. Experience with municipal finance and tax collection and Edmunds a plus but not required. Seasonal pool registration involves interacting with the public, pool staff, and representatives from Community Pass. Additional responsibilities include OPRA’s, creating postcards, ordering supplies, selling garbage stickers, and scheduling weekly/monthly pickups. Light-department cross training and updating various logs. Main source of contact to post information on the Borough’s website and social media as directed. Salary rate: $55,000-$60,000 Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
