The Township of Toms River is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Electrical Inspector within the Department of Community Development, Division of Construction and Inspections. This union position (Grade 11, 35 hours/week) offers a salary range of $60,531.68 to $96,614.94 and is open to the public until filled. Candidates must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred), and a current H.H.S. Electrical Inspector or I.C.S. Electrical License issued by the NJ DCA. Responsibilities include inspecting electrical work in new and existing construction for code compliance, maintaining inspection records, and supporting the Subcode and Construction Officials. Strong knowledge of the NJ Electrical Code and effective communication with contractors and design professionals are essential.
