The Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Department of Public Works (DPW) Laborer/Mechanic. Seeking a full-time skilled diesel mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on Borough vehicles, heavy equipment, and the police fleet, including custom accessory installations. Valid CDL Class B with air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within six (6) months, along with current ASE certifications. Additional duties include snow plowing, storm cleanup, and manual labor related to roadwork and building maintenance. Compensation & Benefits: $37,519.00 starting salary, per bargaining unit.
