The Borough of Neptune City, a small municipality in Eastern Monmouth County, is seeking a Full-Time Administrative Clerk for the Tax/Utility Collector’s Office and Construction Department. Tax/Utility Collector’s Office responsibilities include: greeting and assisting the public, taking and recording payments, assisting other departments by transferring calls and relaying messages, taking and processing applications, licenses and permits, record keeping, and preparing deposits. CMR certification or willingness to obtain is preferred. Construction Department responsibilities include reviewing applications and processing Construction and Zoning permits, scheduling inspections, providing information and maintaining records. Knowledge of Spatial Data Logic software is a plus. NJ DCA Technical Assistant Certification or willingness to obtain is preferred. Full benefits package, including health insurance, pension, and paid time off. Salary range: $35,000 - $40,000. Qualifications for the position include proficient knowledge of excel/word, daily cash receipt, cash handling experience, excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
