  • NDX Peterman Dental Lab in Smyrna, TN is currently hiring for a Denture Technician III with experience in the removable department. If your background fits this description, we want to hear from you. 

The regular hours for this position are 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change as needed. 

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and call sheets received from dentist, as well as worktickets and preferences.
  • Extract teeth as necessary for immediate cases.
  • Select the appropriate shade and mold of teeth.
  • Set the teeth for proper esthetics and function, based upon both personal experience and dentist instructions.
  • Perform all steps of cold cure repairs and relines, including model work.
  • Maintain appropriate stock of denture teeth, both by shade and mold, with an eye towards both customer service and inventory management.
  • Wax and finish cases, as well as help in the model department, as needed.
  • Review final work and check completely that all quality standards as well as esthetics, have been met before passing the work to the next technician.
  • Keep all work areas clean on a daily basis.
  • Task mix will vary from day to day.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Extensive experience setting teeth, waxing, relining and doing repairs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Repeated bending and kneeling.
  • Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color.
  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
