GENERAL SUMMARY: Greet patient by name and escort to exam area. Take vital signs and brief history and notate in patient chart. Review history and assist with exam as needed, per physician. Keep exam rooms clean, orderly and well stocked. Assist with scheduling tests, procedures and referral appointments as needed. Assist with prior authorizations from insurance companies for tests and procedures as needed. Knowledge of medical office software for scheduling appointments and procedures. Other duties as necessary for clinic operation.
REQUIREMENTS: High school education, certification, degree or equivalent. CMA, RMA or previous clinical experience required. Computer skills required. Able to flex his/ her work schedule to meet the demands of the clinic schedule. Must provide a positive image of the clinic and hospital to the community. Work is fast paced requiring ability to independently prioritize work and meet varied deadlines. Work is of medium demand requiring walking, sitting, standing, stooping and bending. Must become knowledgeable about facility policies.
