This position exists to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered nurse in charge of the unit.
Experience in acute, medical/surgical care preferred. Ability to understand, follow instructions, reading and writing skills required, effective communication and interpersonal skills, a stable emotional makeup required to work and remain calm in a stressful, fast paced environment. Physical demands include lifting, moving, walking and standing for long periods of time. A detailed list of physical requirements is attacked. Any exception must be approved by Department Manager and Administration.
Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved CNA training program/state certification. Must meet the requirements of Certified Nursing Assistant job description. Correct grammatical English usage and ability to write legibly.
