ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: Serve as a leader in the day-to-day operations of the PlumpJack Tasting Room, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth team collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Foster a positive and respectful work environment by leading through example, in alignment with the PlumpJack core values.
• Coach and support the team members to deliver exceptional customer service, resolving guest concerns, and answering questions.
• Oversee the opening and closing procedures for the tasting room, ensuring all staff are properly trained on these protocols.
• Manage guest reservations and tasting room flow using Tock, optimizing guest experience.
• Communicate current winery updates, including wine releases and upcoming events, to both staff and guests.
• Maintain high presentation and housekeeping standards, ensuring the tasting room is clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Assist with managerial tasks, as needed, including staff supervision and operational problem solving.
• Represent PlumpJack Winery at offsite special events as required.
• Participate in the monthly inventory counts of wine and non-wine merchandise.
• Handle administrative responsibilities, including:
o Weekly wine ordering
o Shipping and order management
o Customer service issue resolution
o Ordering tasting room supplies
SKILLS AND APTITUDES:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, guests, and vendors.
• Ability to adapt, pivot, and problem -solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent hospitality instincts, creating warm, educational, and sales driven guest experiences.
• Proficiency with POS Systems and reservation platforms.
• Experience hosting large groups and special events.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a guest facing winery environment
