JOB SUMMARY

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance and administration of product lines at Pontotoc Spring.  The production manager will report to the General Manager.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provides guidance and leadership to the production shift supervisors for a 24 hours /7 days operation
• Directs and oversees the manufacturing processes for a product line
• Ensures safety, quality, performance, and productivity goals are met within budgeted costs
• Coordinates staffing to meet customer requirements
• Ensures employee training, promotes a safe work environment, and maintains discipline
• Partners with maintenance department for service/repair of equipment
• Focuses on continual improvements and leads improvement activities
• Promotes and enforces plant floor organization and cleanliness among employees
• Provides communication between shop floor and management team

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Organization and problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinking expertise
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience coaching, training, and disciplining employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, blueprint reading and ISO standards

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing-related field with a master’s degree preferred
• Five years of management/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Certifications or licenses (e.g. PHR or Professional Engineer) are a plus
