Shipping & Receiving Assistant

The Musco Specialty Manufacturing Team is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Assistant to work from our Oskaloosa office. What you will do as a Shipping & Receiving Assistant:
- Knowledge of Profile 2, Vantage and Scoreboard systems; data entry and reports are requested
- Call customers and finalize shipping schedules and special delivery instructions
- Arrange transportation requirements on all backhauls
- Enter information into Profile 2 system
- Create factory invoices for parts shipment on short ship nonconformance; finding order and project numbers in Scoreboard as they correlate to shipments
- Approval of freight invoices and preparation of shipment PAV report
- Abide by all company policies and procedures
- Push or pull a pallet jack with a load of +250lbs
- Handle loads of +100lbs on a dolly/two wheel cart; stack items of 10-25lbs on pallets for shipments; unload delivery trucks of items ranging from 5lbs to +100lbs
- Drive a 16' flatbed truck and assist in loading and unloading of it at vendors, including properly & securely strapping loads on the truck
What you need to be successful:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to achieve and maintain a D2 chauffeurs license
- Able to certify and maintain a fork truck license
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent typing and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with a variety of office equipment
- Strong initiative and ability to work both as a team and independently
- Must enjoy working with a variety of people inside and outside of Musco
- Ability to follow procedures with strong attention to detail
- Strong phone skills including pleasant speaking voice
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
