We have an opening for an Inpatient Assistant Supervisor for a Veterinary Technician/Assistant that is looking to step into a leadership role at Angell-Boston on the Evening Shift.
The accepted candidate will be provided with a shift differential, as well as, a $5,000 sign on bonus!
The Position:
Angell Animal Medical Center of Boston is looking for a full time, experienced Veterinary Technician to fill the role of Assistant Supervisor for attendants in our renowned, state of the art Emergency and Critical Care department.
The Technician Assistant Supervisor of the Inpatient Services Department (ICU/ER/SCU) works closely with the supervisors and management staff of Angell Animal Medical Center not only to supervise our attendants, and provide exceptional patient care, but also help develop and facilitate learning and development opportunities for our attendants.

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our technical trainer to provide knowledge and skills for our attendants.
- Develop and maintain training manuals and checklists.
- Remain current on disease processes and fear-free handling techniques.
- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations for all attendants.
- Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records.
- Assist clinicians in providing high quality nursing care to patients
- Offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, technicians and attendants.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have 2 years’ experience working in emergency medicine in a high volume, fast paced environment. Candidates will also have proven leadership skills and/or previous supervisory experience. We are looking for applicants who want to step into a leadership role and grow professionally.
