M&S Engineering, LLC seeks a qualified MEP Electrical Engineer with preferred commercial building electrical design experience to join our MEP team in New Braunfels, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team
  • Collaboration in multi-discipline projects to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors, and facility owners
  • Survey and evaluate existing field and building conditions
  • Ability to prepare electrical construction documents using Revit
  • Construction administration such as RFI’s, submittals, and field observations
  • Maintain, establish, and promote technical standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years design experience (MEP experience) on commercial projects working with owners, architects, and contractors, and/or 3 years design experience with industrial, water treatment, and/or wastewater treatment plants
  • Revit Experience – ability to prepare construction documents
  • Construction administration experience such as RFIs, submittals, and field observations
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated. Capable of working on individual assignment or as part of a multi-discipline team
  • Able to work well with other disciplines within the firm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be personally accountable for the quality and accuracy of work product
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in power distribution: 277/480, 120/208, 120/240 delta, and 120/240 single phase
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NEC and IECC
  • Experience with industrial, water treatment, and/or wastewater treatment plants
  • Experienced in Fire Alarm design
  • Experienced with ETAP design
  • NFPA 70E certification
  • Registered EIT or PE
