Get ready to be integral in the designing of the next generation of data centers and other mission-critical facilities! As an Electrical Engineering Designer in our Mission Critical Facilities group, you will help build the facilities where the internet lives. Having access to some of the best industry leaders, you will help prepare conceptual and detailed designs, permit / bidding services, and assist in performance of construction administration (CA) services to review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s, etc. This is a great opportunity to join this booming field, without needing any prior experience.

What you will do:

  • Prepare electrical construction drawings in conjunction with our in-house mechanical, architectural, and civil/structural design teams using AutoCAD MEP and Revit

  • Design power distribution, standby power systems (UPS & generators), lighting, lightning protection, operational and monitoring control systems, grounding, telecommunications, and fire alarm conceptual systems under senior direction

  • Conduct technical audits with respect to compliance to applicable codes, the designers’ drawings and specifications, and good construction practices

  • Assist senior engineers with site visit surveys of buildings for the purposes of collecting design information related to electrical service, fire alarm, grounding and lightning protection as they relate to data center or telecommunications facilities

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

  • Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems

  • Skilled in design using AutoCAD and Revit

  • Experience with designing building power systems, preferably in consulting engineering would be an asset

  • Registration in USA as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is an asset

  • Verbal and written communication skills to succeed in a customer-facing role

  • Ability to work exceptionally well and efficiently in a team environment including in-person and remote members with a proven strong customer service commitment
