Position Summary: The Legal Department at Monster Energy is seeking a full-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal with at least 5 years of recent corporate transaction and entity formation experience to support the maintenance of Monster’s international subsidiaries particularly in Latin America. The paralegal must be able to handle multiple complex matters with significant judgment and autonomy. Although this position reports to one supervisor, the paralegal would be expected to assist attorneys and other paralegals in the Legal Department as the need arises.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with the formation and maintenance of Monster’s international subsidiaries, particularly in Latin America (LATAM).
- Provide legal support to finance, tax, accounting, operations and other business units in preparation of corporate documents, legal certifications, and supplier/vendor registrations.
- Coordinates with outside counsel in preparing and maintaining charter documents and foreign qualifications, business registrations and powers of attorney.
- Provide support for local lease issues, bank accounts, branch changes, tax registrations, and other ongoing compliance obligations.
- Prepare international subsidiary actions and secretary’s certificates as required. Obtain approval and signatures from international Board of Directors
- Maintain physical minute books and an electronic repository of corporate documents in GEMS.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable state codes.
- 5+ years directly relevant corporate/subsidiary governance paralegal experience
- Experience working in a large national law firm or in-house at a large public company
- Experience with legal billing, and matter management software (Legal Tracker)
- Extensive operational entity management knowledge and experience, including familiarity with entity management databases
- Significant electronic recordkeeping and document management experience
- Sharp written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to handle a high volume workload in a fast paced environment with a strong degree of accuracy, efficiency and reliability
- Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
- Notary Public (a plus)
PAY RANGE: $80k - $95k
