Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, a leader in offering treatment programs to those battling addiction, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill our opening for a Facility Maintenance Technician.

Essential Job Duties:
Maintenance of MTC Property:
- Assist in overseeing the housekeeping, maintenance, repair, and painting of all property owned by Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, including buildings (interior and exterior), lawns, sidewalks, driveways, and vehicles.
- Advise senior management of need for major reconstruction projects and necessary building permits.
- Conduct quarterly inspections of staff and student housing and documents the inspection results on a check-off list.
- Assist in inspecting every MTC staff apartment immediately following the permanent departure of its occupants.
Supervision, Scheduling, and Training:
- Assist in reviewing job orders to determine work priorities.
- Assist in planning work schedules and estimating labor hour requirements for completion of each job assignment.
- Assist in supervising the pickup and delivery of donated items when required.
Equipment, Tools & Supplies:
- Assist in ensuring that the necessary tools, equipment and supplies are readily available before each work study crew begins to work on their assigned projects.
- Assist in ensuring the safekeeping of all MTC tools and equipment.
- Inspect all power tools and equipment for conformance with safety and operational standards.
- Assist in maintaining complete and accurate records of all maintenance performed, including work requests, supplies purchased, building maintenance completed, and other records as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand on feet for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
- Able to climb up and down three flights of stairs and/or climb ladders several times during a regular shift.
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, and/or bend during the majority of a regular shift.
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
