The Information System Engineer IIsupports the delivery of IT services for both local and remote users and plays a hands-on role in supporting various local and cloud services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
Major Responsibilities/Functions:
- Provide hands-on administration and tier 2 support.
- Administer the mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) platform (Intune), Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and other business applications.
- Proactively plan and implement application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
- Analyze requests for business/system enhancements and deliver solutions focused on addressing process gaps and enabling automation.
- Perform compatibility testing for new hardware and software.
- Coordinate with various IT groups to resolve incidents and fulfill requests based on established guidelines while ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Generate runbooks, training aids, quick reference guides, and other aids to enable internal customers to be self-sufficient.
- Assist with infrastructure planning, process improvements, and other support activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess excellent communication and technical skills.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar curriculum with technical background in related discipline, OR 2+ years relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio, PowerPoint and PowerShell.
- Experience with Voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone systems, Microsoft Teams Phone System preferred.
- Broad understanding of change management and service desk methodologies.
- Well versed in all aspects of Microsoft O365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
- On-call availability including requirement to work and / or coordinate after.
