Provides leadership for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness in the areas of budgeting, personnel management, management of departmental resources. Leads and develops a comprehensive institutional assessment and planning program to support the university's mission and strategic initiatives.Designs, directs, and supports academic and administrative program reviews and related activities that demonstrate institutional effectiveness. Responsible for the MSU data warehouse and for the collection, analysis, stewardship, and communication of data to support strategic planning and decision-making. Supports externally driven accountability/assessment initiatives mandated by various levels of government agencies, other funding sources, and accrediting agencies. Utilizes data visualization and predictive analysis to support student success, learning outcomes assessment, fiscal management, enrollment management, and advancement functions at the university. Works closely with university officers and academic leaders to elevate the data story of MSU and enable responsible, data-informed decision-making at every level of the university. Reports to the  Provost, or their delegate within Academic Affairs.
