Since our incorporation in 1973, Louisville Switching has had an extensive relationship with Kalmar Ottawa Trucks. We are a licensed, authorized motor vehicle dealer with the ability and desire to sell only the highest quality Kalmar Ottawa yard trucks. We also have a garage with nine spacious bays to service our customers’ repair needs.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Provide industry-leading customer satisfaction. Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees. 
• Diagnose and repair golf carts (gas and electric), side by sides, small engine vehicles, and other identified products as clearly and specifically requested by the customer, using a laptop computer, experience, manuals, and other industry sources.
• Assess the need for additional repairs or maintenance, and document and communicate findings and potential solutions with supervisor and customer.
• Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work.
• Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and the supervisor. 
• Keep supervisor advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
• Active participation in weekly safety calls/meetings and safety program.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

• A technical background is required.  
• Working knowledge of small engines, golf carts, and side by side vehicles are a plus. 
• Personal ownership of tools to complete required tasks. 
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.

Working Conditions: Hours will be 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Steel toed work boots are mandatory.
