Job Description
- Treatment of infants, children, adolescents, or young adults according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel
- Administration of prescribed medication, treatments and therapies
- Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, and responses
- Educates the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs.
- Perform wound care
- Manage case load
- Care coordinate with providers and patient families
- Practice safe delivery of physician ordered care to pediatric patients in a home environment
- Perform patient assessments
- Provide feeding tube management and education
- Administer and manage medication
- Provide central line management, lab draws, and infusion education
- Perform tracheostomy education and urinary catheter management and care
- Perform accurate and concise documentation
Qualifications
- Active Nursing License in good standing (required)
- One year + of recent experience as a Nurse in a clinical care setting (preferred)
- Home health experience (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Time Management skills
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Good organization and effective communication
- PICC/Central line experience (preferred)
- An active Colorado (or compact state) registered nurse license in good standing
- Flexibility & dependability
- Homecare experience (preferred)
Additional Information
As an MGA Nurse you can expect
- Compensation ranging from $75-$85 per Visit | $110-$120 per Start of Care
- Compensation is dependent on experience, tenure, and number of visits worked.
- The bottom range indicates little to no experience
- The top range indicates highly skilled and experienced
- A schedule that works best for you
