Responsibilities
Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds at the MBH facility.
Performs basic carpenter, electrical, plumbing, HVAC skills to maintain the MBH facility.
Performs basic record keeping maintaining written records for compliance with the Department of Health, TJC and other regulatory agencies.
Perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance checks, assess general condition of MBH facilities and make recommendation for improvements or repairs.
Maintain annual tuberculosis screening, Hepatitis B, CPI, and all other MBH annual requirements.
Follow all policies and procedures that affect the Environment of Care.
Attend regularly scheduled in-service training.
This individual employee may accept other reasonable assignments, which may be necessary for the efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years’ experience working in maintenance or equivalent experience.
Ability to use an assortment of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to work under various working conditions (i.e. bend, stoop, lift, and stand for eight hours).
Requires ability to perform heaving lifting (at least 80 lbs.) when necessary.
Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and be insurable.
Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions. Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time.
Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items.
Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health.
Flu vaccinations are mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).
