We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a CNC Supervisor, for our 2nd Shift (2nd shift schedule: 4:15 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.) Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company of engineered mechanical components. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for promoting the well-being of the company.
  • Enforces company rules, policies, and regulations including safety regulations.
  • Is responsible for training employees for key positions.
  • Performs every job function upon request or needs of the department (Programming, set-ups, etc.).
  • Maintains an awareness of current industry trends and technological developments that relate to improved efficiency in CNC programming systems and work centers, through continual education (seminars, college courses, webinars, etc.). Also, will continue education by attending seminars and courses that will enhance supervisory/management skills.
  • Recommends and implements programs; and facilitates upgrades to improve efficiencies, and improvements in the overall operations of the department.
  • Studies production schedules, plans and schedules workloads.
  • Ensures stocking of tools.
  • Responsible for overseeing setup/programming on all CNC systems used by the company and for providing technical support to subordinates and the shop to help eliminate interrupted production schedules.
  • Works in close cooperation with Lead personnel, setup personnel, programmers, and shop supervisors to assure the production of high quality machined components.
  • Supervises the CNC Programming function including the direction of the daily activities of programming personnel, ensuring accurate and timely programming of all CNC program Systems and CNC & VMC work centers used by the company.
  • Collaborates with engineering and operation supervisors to resolve problems and avoid production delays; communicates operations and employee problems to Production Manager.
  • Appraises performance of the CNC programming staff.
  • Provides technical support to subordinates and machine operators.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree and 5 - 7 years related experience in CNC / CAM environment and or other machining industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Must have experience in basic CNC software programming, which should include MasterCam. Familiar with HAAS – CNC & VMC equipment; set-ups and calling programs. Familiar with inspection equipment, dial calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, indicator set ups, gage calibrations for the Inspection of products for conformance. Proven leadership and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences. Exceptional problem solving and customer relations skills.

BENEFITS PACKAGE INCLUDES:
